INTRODUCTION

The transition into a new management or leadership role can be an exciting and challenging step in our professional journey. For many of us it calls for the development of increased self-confidence and focus, as well as establishing a new sense of professional identity and leadership style. Navigating this change in persona is the focus of this session.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

In this session, participants can:

  • Explore the personal dynamics of stepping into a new management or leadership role and their relationship to others
  • Think about the self as leader – constructing meaningful internal and external professional narratives
  • Consider “personal impact” and strategies for developing it.
