Service User/Carer Participation within the North London Social Work Teaching Partnership
The Teaching Partnership aims for social workers to be trained to the highest standards.
Individuals who have personal experience of social care services can help to raise the standards of education within social work practice and teaching.
Middlesex University works with service users/carers to advise and strengthen their teaching practices. Their service user/carer group, Involve@mdx, has a diverse membership which contributes to activities such as teaching, student recruitment and assessments.
Other Partners are also working with service users and carers within a variety of participation groups and panels to help improve practice. They recognise the value of this contribution, not only within teaching but within service provision.
