The Research Centre for Transcultural Studies in Health headed by Professor Rena Papadopoulos, Middlesex University, will be delivering an interactive learning symposium on the role of robots in social care and sharing exciting news on the CARESSES research project on the development of assistive humanoids.
The aim of this session is to raise awareness of the future role of humanoid assistive robots in social care.The learning outcomes for this half-day session are to:
— Explore the current debates about humanoid assistive robots in social care
— Become aware of the aims and methodologies of the CARESSES project
— Consider the immediate and future preparation of social workers who may be working with robots
This session is open to Social Workers and staff working in Social Care across the Teaching Partnership (Barnet, Hackney, Haringey, Enfield, and Norwood)
